Ellie
I am an elderly amateur who came late in life to Eventing, Ellie is a 15.2 TH X mare - a real gem, aged 16YRS.
She had not felt quite "right" all summer. I asked Ian for help.
He "tuned" into her and told me that "dietary" was screaming at him.
I had not even considered diet as the cause of her stiffness problems - Numerous "experts" had told me they thought she had muscular problems, but I had assumed they meant through hill work or as a result of competing & hard going - No one had suggested I might consider what she was eating!!
I rang her feed company whose feeds I had been using, for advice and a very helpful lady suggested a condition called PSSM might be affecting Ellie. This is a glylogen metabolism problem, of the "tying up" family, and she recommended I change Ellie to a grain free diet - high oil and fibre instead.
Within 3 days all stiffness had gone.
Ian was "spot on" - I am so very grateful for his help, he has given me back my horse. He must have an amazing gift as I had not prompted or suggested in any way what her problems had been, when I had asked for his help.
Ellie too is grateful, as she can now move freely without the soreness etc that she had been suffering. We both think the world of Ian & his gifts.
