I brought a 16.2 TB/X called Harley in May 2006, to start with Harley and I got on well, I used to ride him anywhere, scoop his field when he was in the field, he was as good as gold, the only problems I had with him was he hated being groomed and having new shoes, it got so bad with the farrier that I had to have him sedated and even that didn’t stop him from kicking the farrier down the yard, the grooming was a nightmare, he used to knock me flying, things just got worse and worse, if I was scooping the field he would charge at me knock me over, so I had to stop scooping the field if he was in it, one day I was bringing him in for the evening and he got me in a corner rearing at me, when I got him in he kicked me in the leg. Then riding became a nightmare, every time I rode him out he would corkscrew, buck, rear and bolt. He knocked my confidence so much I thought about selling him, he had no respect for me, he was the boss. Then I was told about Ian from a farrier. The farrier told me that Ian had sorted out a horse that 6 months before he would not shoe, the farrier said the horse was dangerous, now he is fantastic.
In March 2007, I telephoned Ian and he came out the next day to see Harley and set to work with him, it was fantastic to watch. The next day the farrier came, I did not sedate Harley and he was a star stood perfectly still, the farrier could not believe it was the same horse, I couldn’t either, I groomed Harley and he stood still and enjoyed it for the first time.
Ian has worked with Harley and myself for 7 months now and it was the best thing I ever did phoning him that day in March, Harley now respects me, I have a strong bond with my boy now and wouldn’t even think of selling him EVER and its all thanks to Ian and the work he does to give you the perfect partnership with your horse. If you are having any problems with your horse phone Ian, I highly recommend him.
I would also like to thank Adele who works with Ian for her support in the last 7 months.
